During June, textile products exports increase by 9.81 percent to $921
million as compared to $839 million recorded last year. For the year
under consideration, cotton yarn exports increased to $1.417 billion,
recording 27.13 percent growth, as against to $1.114 billion in the
previous year..

Raw cotton exports rose by 124 percent to $195 million as compared to
$87 million during the previous year and yarn exports other than cotton
yarn was also up by 100 percent during the year. .

Cotton cloth and cotton carded or combed exports fell by 7 percent and
24 percent, respectively during the aforesaid year. In the
value-added-sector, the performance of varied textile products remained
assorted, as exports of few products slumped and others witnessed a
slight increase..
Knitwear exports recorded a mild rise of 1.16 percent to $1.761 billion
as against $1.740 billion. Exports of bedwear dived little by 0.64
percent to $1.723 billion as compared to $1.735 billion during the
previous year. .
Exports of towel rose by 5.17 percent to $676 million as compared to
$642 million, while readymade apparel increased by 4.33 percent to
$1.283 billion as compared to $1.230 billion previous year”
