Exports of ready-made garments has recorded a growth rate of 6 % last year despite the repercussions of the financial
crisis Which overshadowed on all countries exports where it reduced by 20 % Mr. Khaled Rafaat vice-president of the export council for ready -made garments considered what happened  as a positive significant step, where part of it returns
back to the support of the state.

Mr. Khaled calls for the urgent need for the continuous of the support to the exports in the presence of the
government’s strategy to increase the total exports from 90 billion to 200
billion during the next five years, in addition to the continuing effect of the
global crisis and the plan of the export council for ready-made garments to
double the exports to reach 7 billion pounds.
