China’s demand for industrial textiles sharply rose to 1,738,000 tons last year, and is projected to reach 2,820,000 tons in 2010. Several large reservoirs including many water and soil conservation projects, are currently under construction, and the domestic auto industry is developing by leaps and bounds.
It is estimated that 2010 demands for industrial textiles in China are likely to reach 100,000 tons for civil engineering textiles, 200,000 tons for auto decorative fabrics, 400,000 tons for tarpaulins, 250,000 tons for medical and sanitary materials, 100,000 tons for agricultural textiles and 220,000 tons for fishing nets.
