“Total apparel sales grew by 9.8 per cent for the season-to-date
compared with the same period last year, according to the MasterCard
Advisors’ SpendingPulse.

..Women’s apparel sales grew by 4.4 per cent in the period from 31
October to 11 December and men’s apparel sales grew by 8.4 per cent
year-over-year. Strong growth is seen in the teen and family apparel
segments.

..These results suggest that retail spending continues to gain traction.
