The Conference, through its three sessions, is conceptualized to tackle the opportunities of activating laws functionality for agriculture, trade and exports within the Egyptian Cotton Industry and their impact on providing capabilities to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian Cotton worldwide. Furthermore, the conference aims to develop an executive scheme for cotton productivity increase and cost reduction of cotton cultivation as to bring up new generations of farmers-capable to determine market needs, establishing modern agricultural methods …etc. .

Also, the conference addresses the impact of GATT and trade liberalization on international price-competitiveness of Egyptian Cotton and the ability of Egyptian Textile Industry to face GATT challenges, which shall take place by the beginning of the 2005. The discussions are taking into consideration the new developments and obstacles that could appear on applying GAAT in Egypt, beside the advantages through the EU-Egypt Free Trade Agreement and its impact on increasing Egyptian Apparel exports of Egyptian Textile products.
