Swedish clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&. has voluntarily recalled children’s jackets, trousers and hats in Kiel, northern Germany, after a newspaper claimed the clothing was made of contaminated materials.
Although health officials said the chemical believed to be involved in the health scare, Organo-chlorinated pesticide TBT, poses little risk to youngsters, H&M has agreed to reimburse any affected customers in full.
According to reports, German distributor Jako-O may also recall children jackets bought this year because of similar contamination concerns.
