Sri Lanka’s September export earnings slipped around two per cent year-on-year due to a poor performance by its key clothing and textile industries, the central bank revealed on Monday.

The bank said earnings from textile and garment exports fell five per cent in September which led to a slip in total export revenues to $409 million from $417m in the year-ago period.
