The
notification further stated that it will be effective from March 1 to
June 30, 2010 and the already exempted yarn products like lycra, dyed,
heather grey or mÈlange, slub or bleached or singed have also been
deleted from the previous notification of Jan 14..
The ministry
in its earlier notification of Jan 14, 2010 had fixed a monthly ceiling
of 50 million kg per month with immediate effect till June 30, 2010. .
The
value-added yarn fetching a price more than or equal to $3.5 per kg
will also be allowed over and above the quota only to those units which
are registered with the ministry of textile industry as value-added
exporters and within limits of their assessed capacities as determined
by the Ministry of Textile, it said. The export should be monitored by
customs on actual shipments and first-come-first-served basis and
registration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) should
be dispensed with, it concluded.
