The project is targeted to cover the local market demands and to export the rest to North Africa and Middle East, especially that 90% of man made apparels required for industry are exported due to absence of dying utilities and probable supplies in Egypt. .

In addition, it encourages Egyptian cotton cultivation, spinning, weaving and finishing as to support national industries and to be compatible with the Joint European Market. .

It was pointed out that the first phase of the project is to produce 25 million meter/year and to employ 500 worker and it is expected to reach 50 million meter/year and 1000 worker in the second phase, taking into consideration that Egypt imports of fiber are from 15 to 20 million meters annually .Consequently, Egypt would save from 30 to 40 million USD/year.
