The Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers Union SACTWU) has set aside R4 million this year to fund its new HIV/Aids awareness policy.
The policy, which was agreed by the National Executive Committee at the weekend, will commit the union to providing HIV/Aids education to shopstewards, membership and dependants.

A major part of the programme will be education, and will aim to reach the union’s 800 shop stewards and its 140,000 members and families countrywide.
