Total
exports of cotton textile and apparel were valued at US$27.617 billion
during the January-May period of 2010, up 16.49%. Among them, exports of
cotton textiles reached US$8.452 billion ( 21.93%) whilst those of
cotton apparel were US$19.164 billion ( 14.24%). In the meantime, China
imported 3,547,000 tons of cotton yarns, or an increase of 38.18%…A total amount of RMB27.6 billion was invested in the field of China’s cotton sector, up 11.14%. There were 753 new investment projects, about the same number of registered last year..
