“Pakistan has problems in exporting its textile and Rice to Europe while Tunisia has a fixed quota in Europe which would be used by Pakistani business community”, Tunisia Envoy said while addressing the senior executives and members of the Rawalpindi chamber of commerce and industry here on Tuesday .On this occasion RCCI president Jalil Ahmad Malik said that the private sector of Tunisia and Pakistan have great role to play to enhance the trade and commerce ties of the two sides and bring them at per with the historical relation of the two countriesHe assured full support to Tunisia business community in its investment efforts in Pakistan and particularly in Rawalpindi. “We provide all possible help and assistance to our Tunisia brethren in setting up joint venture in this region and they should come here and get benefits from the investment friendly policies of the government”, he added. Talking on implementation of the WTO, the Ambassador Dhaouadi said that it is need of hour that the trade and commerce atmosphere should be changed before full implementation of the regime. He said the Tunisia has trade agreements with Europe and exports to Europe in shape of textile particularly cotton is very high. He asked Pakistani industrialists to use the Export Processing Zones of Tunisia to improve their exports and buy a good market space in Europe.He also stressed the need of fixation of sectors between the two countries where two sides would set targets of import and exports between them .
