Making good on a statement made during its Sixth Annual Waverly Place Conference last month, Waverly announced that Kennebunk Weavers has begun production on a collection of licensed Waverly throws.
The initial introduction of the collection includes four throws with patterns taken from Waverly collections such as Cleopatra, Valley Plaid, Grandeur and Firenze. Colors for the licensed line range from bordeaux, pewter, indigo and jewel to softer shades such as willow, oyster, berry, buttercream and lake. With the exception of Grandeur, which is sized at 40″ x 70″, the throws are 50″ x 75″.
Three different constructions make up the initial line, a boucle yarn, a woven chenille and a jacquard chenille. The passing of the seasons will gradually bring different colors and patterns to the line. Retail price points, depending on size and construction, range from $50 to $100.
