Prices increased as a result of higher cotton costs with average unit price rising from US$94.30 per dozen in the first nine months of 2002 up to US$99.14 in the same period of 2002. .
In September, however, average price was back to US$96.94 per dozen. .
Egypt’s average unit price is far below the average as it is only 82 USD/dozen.
