“This was announced by Mr. Saeed Abd Allah, Head of the Central Bureau for bilateral & multilateral trade agreements in Ministry of Trade and industry..A meeting concerning Cotton will take place between sellers and buyers as well as a sectorial exhibition for equipment related to cotton all in parallel with the Trade Fair. He also pointed out that this falls within the framework of fulfilling the strategy of developing co-operation between the cotton producing member states of the OIC during the period of 2007-2011. .He added that requests by member states to appoint focal persons responsible for the fulfillment of the working plan that aims at support cooperation in this vital sub sector and overcoming its challenges are being studied. .Mr. Saeed also referred to some new studies that are under preparation which the General Secretariat is currently following up on. One of these is a study prepared by the COMCEC Office and the Ankara office named “The New Possible Fields of Commercial and Economic Cooperation in between Member States and Setting an Agenda for Development in Africa”. He also said that a report on the barriers in transportation and logistics that is based on a study presented by the owners of steamships in the OIC Member States will be reviewed during the next session of the COMCEC that will be held between 05 – 09 November in Istanbul along with the celebration of the silver jubilee of COMCEC…
