Supply chain management (or mismanagement) has a substantial impact on the successfulness of business strategies. Yet, too often companies look at the tools of supply chain management as operation-based only and not as an integral part of the enterprise planning process. A company-s supply chain must support the business and marketing strategy of an organization, and ensure the most efficient use of providing valued goods and services to the customer. In the textile and garment industries, it is becoming increasingly apparent that without a well-thought business and supply chain plan, companies will not be able to survive in the global market place.
